the upscale Scottsdale community which features the most high-end accommodations,
clubs and resorts in the area. Most courses and developments in Scottsdale
are relatively new compared to Phoenix, having sprouted up from the
80s to present, and many are built with luxurious homes, condos and
villas on the fairway or close by. Even most residential communities
set aside units for seasonal or even short-term renting. Golf packages

on but many in the area.

Golf Courses
Troon North Monument
A breathtaking golf experience. Set against the backdrop of Pinnacle
Peak, the McDowell Mountains and lush desert landscaping, Monument is
a classic desert style target course. This immaculate course with gorgeous
desert scenery has been rated as the #1 in daily fee courses and #1
in Golfweek as well as #58 among America's Top 100 Golf Courses by Golf
Magazine. Tremendous staff with friendly service and course conditions
make Monument the top public course in the Valley. Home of the Arizona
Open Tournament.
Troon North Pinnacle
The tradition continues. When Monument at Troon North opened, it certainly
caught everyone's attention and has held it. Another masterful Weiskopf
design, built around huge boulders and striking elevation changes. A
strong resemblance to its slightly older brother, Monument, it's obvious
and certainly an asset. PINNACLE is everything we expected and more.
Grayhawk Raptor
For those who left Talon wanting more, Grayhawk’s second 18-hole
course, Raptor, continues to test the strategy and shot selection of
players of all levels. Long carries over box canyons leave you irons
in to closely guarded, tucked pins on multi-tiered greens. The more
traditional style companion to the Talon Course.
Grayhawk Talon
A premium target-style golf course. A very fair yet challenging course
with box canyons and Scottish-style bunkers. It has beauty, challenge,
and versatility featuring panoramic views of the McDowell Mountains.
Excellent practice facilities and restaurant (Phil's Grill), as well
as one of the best pro shops in the Valley. Host site for the 1998 Anderson
Consulting World Championship of Golf.
The Phoenician
This 6,500 championship course guides you through lavishly landscaped
fairways, meticulously manicured greens, desert bunkers with needle-sharp
cacti and deep water hazards.
Sunridge Canyon
Set in a spectacular desert canyon, Sunridge incorporates all of the
best elements of strategic golf course design; elevated tees, quick
greens, and spectacular views. Generous landing areas with carefully
placed bunkers and inviting greens combined with subtle undulations
place a premium on players shotmaking abilities. Listed in Golf Digest's
Top 100 and home to the 1997 Men's USGA State Team Championship.
Eagle Mountain
Nestled in the ravines of the McDowell Mountains and colorized by dramatic
sunrises and sunsets, Eagle Mountain beckons those who desire an outstanding
golf experience.
Opened in 1996, this Scott Miller designed course is a spectacular
representation of man's creation in harmony with nature as it winds
through natural box canyons, rolling hills, and lush desert valleys.
At Eagle Mountain you'll find a challenging yet fair golf experience,
with contoured fairways and immaculately maintained greens throughout
this par-71, 6755-yard layout.
Legend Trail
One of the premier 18-hole championship courses to be introduced to
avid golfers of Arizona, this spectacular club will captivate players
with its beautiful scenery, traditional layout and superb conditions.
A thinking player's course that will tempt you on the par 5's and challenge
your short game skills as well. Legend Trail has been rated four times
by Golf Digest as one of America's 100 greatest courses.
Las Sendas
The flow and ambiance leads these fairways to be generous, and the
greens subtle. So if you choose to take on this Wild West course, you’d
better bring your six-gun (or your "A" game) because you’re
going to have to shoot well here. One of the most challenging public
courses in the Valley.
Raven South Mountain
A spectacular new golf course unlike anything else built in the Valley
during the past 20 years. Truly a unique experience. Set against the
Superstition Mountains, this south Phoenix course is the only desert
course in the valley with pine trees. The superb course conditions reflect
the excellent services of the staff. Recognized as the #2 daily fee
facility in Arizona, Raven's close proximity to Phoenix Sky Harbor airport makes it a perfect course to play on your first or last day in the Valley.
Lookout Mountain Golf Club
A beautiful layout that weaves its way through rugged terrain that
borders the Phoenix Mountain Preserve and offers spectacular views of
both Lookout Mountain and Squaw Peak. An exciting golf course for players
of all skill levels as it presents the finest characteristics of both
desert golf and traditional golf course design.
TPC Stadium
An opportunity to play where the PGA TOUR annually hosts the Phoenix
Open. The Stadium Course is set in the Sonoran Desert with the beautiful
McDowell Mountains as a backdrop. Annually ranked among the best public
courses in the country. Come test your game where the pros play.
Wildfire
Wildfire is an exceedingly playable course, challenging, yet fair.
A work of art that will satisfy the ability levels of all who enjoy
the game. Unique straight and directional bunkering. Every hole will
challenge your shot making abilities. Wildfire is home the Arizona Media
Cup Challenge.
Kierland
Kierland's new 27 holes offer a great links design that fulfills the
promise of its original nine-hole layout. Each nine has it's own unique
characteristics - a links, a desert style, and a nine with a traditional
look. Excellent bunkering and use of elevation changes. A quality job
throughout.
Rancho Manana
An incredibly tight, true test of desert golf. Brilliant design with
elevation changes that send you down into valleys and canyons and up
into the hills as you manage your way around the course. Great views
are enhanced by the mountains, where saguaro forests line the fairways.
Be prepared for a racaus gallery of coyotes, hawks, deer, havellina
and quail.
Talking Stick North & South
One of the states most unique courses, a throwback to Scottish-link
design. A very walkable course, and pleasantly affordable for an upper-end
course. This 36 hole layout is located on a vast stretch of unspoiled
desert, with a rough-less design, creating unique tee shots and approaches.
South course features trees, ponds, and streams to enhance your shot
making challenge. Huge greens with subtle breaks will test your abilities
with the flat stick.
Superstition Springs
Every hole is unique, with good bunkering and challenging pin placement.
Brilliant design with expansive bunkers, unique molding, multiple tee
placements and dazzling water holes.The par four 9th hole was twice
voted Arizona's Most Popular Hole. A PGA Tour qualifying site.
Wigwam, Red & Blue
The Wigwam’s hidden gems. The Blue and Red offer narrow fairways
shaded by mature trees, challenging bunkers and daunting greens. They
are classic Arizona golf courses.
Ocotillo
A tropical oasis of green grass, palm trees and water. The water comes
into play on almost every hole, so watch out if you take a divot, because
on this perfectly manicured course it may be the only one you'll see
all day.
Desert Springs
Surrounded by panoramic views of the White Tank Mountains, this playable
yet challenging "soft desert" design will have you using every
club in the bag. With nearly a hundred stunning white sand bunkers lining
wide, rolling fairways and 17 lakes coming into play on 10 holes, all
levels of golfers enjoy this layout.
Granite Falls
Generous fairways with tough pin placements, varying elevations, and
ten thousand square feet of greens, challenging even the most accurate
golfers. Marquee hole #18 features a 30 foot fountain, a lake flanking
the green, and dramatic back to back waterfalls rushing over large granite
boulders.
Palm Valley
Set in a natural surrounding while creating a challenging layout for
players of all ages and skill levels. Combine its beauty with affordability
and Palm Valley offers one of the greatest golf values in the Valley

Karsten Asu
A classic Pete Dye Scottish links design with rolling hills, railroad
ties and partially hidden greens, well guarded by bunkers or water.
A fair test of skill, this home of the perennially top ranked Arizona
State University golf team has turned out many top PGA and LPGA tour
players. Pro shop selected "Best 100 Golf Shops" by Golf Operations
