Kokopelli Golf Club - Gilbert, AZ ( Phoenix / Scottsdale area )
Kokopelli Golf Club brings throws plenty of uneven lies and a fair share of water at golfers. This golf course in the Phoenix-Scottsdale corridor has been around since 1993 and has the urban sprawl around it to prove it.
With little mounds all over the fairways, designer Bill Phillips makes sure you'll have some awkward lies, but these can help your score too: Errant shots tend to kick back into the fairways. You're not going to lose a ton of golf balls at Kokopelli. And while the course overall is fairly nondescript, you will have fun on holes like No. 3, a par 4 with a pond right in front of the green.
